The Great Wall of China (Wanli Changcheng) is the world’s largest man-made structure, 8,850 kilometers in length, and 21,196 kilometers, according to a new archaeological survey. The city walls, whose construction lasted for centuries and spread over the ages, are among the most famous and touristic places in the world and are among the research topics. This trip, which includes information about the Great Wall of China, which is easy to visit from Beijing, as I did, contains answers to questions such as why the wall was built, who built it, how long it was, its history, where, how to get there, and whether it would appear from space.

Where is the Great Wall?

The Great Wall of China In the north of China, the giant defense walls extending in the east-west direction begin on the shore of Po Hay Bay and extend westward past the vast geography. It spans 15 provinces of the country. It travels from the Shanghai Pass in Hebei province to the east to Jiayu Pass in Gansu province in the west.

How to get to the Great Wall of China? travel Guide

I have some bad news for you; Unfortunately, to go to the Great Wall of China, you have to go all the way to China. Before you answer the question of how to get to the Great Wall of China and give travel guide notes, you can find out the time of departure from the capital on the map below. Badaling, Juyong Pass, Huanghuacheng, Jiankou, Mutianyu, Gubeikou, Jinshanting, Simatai and Huangya Pass can be visited easily and daily. 630 kilometers of the city walls are located in Beijing .

Mutianyu Walls – How to get there

Mutianyu Walls can be preferred for an easy Chinese Great Wall tour from Beijing. From the Dongzhimen bus station in the city center, you can take the 916 Express (full CNY 12 CNY, Beijing Transportation Card and CNY 6, Chinese Yuan Yuan, Renminbi) or take the 916 bus at Huairou Beidajie stop on Huairou North Avenue, then h23, h24, h35 or h36 The bus arrives at the Mutianyu Roundabout junction and walk 450 meters to reach the ticket sales office. The full ticket costs 45 yuan, children over 60 and 25 yuan to children, free of charge to children taller than 120 inches, I was amazed at what a wonderful pricing.

Great Wall of China – transportation.

From Beijing Central Station ( Beijing Huochezhan) to the Mutianyu Walls, you can go to Dongzhimen Station by taking the subway number 2 and take the surface to exit 916 Express bus.

How to get to the Great Wall of China? Travel Guide.

You can walk up to half an hour if you want to climb the walls, or if you want to save your energy for sightseeing or to reach a higher point, you can take the cable car to Tower 14. I suggest you use the cable car like me, because you will have already walked quite a bit up the hill and the view from the cable car cabin is beautiful.

The 5,400-meter Mutianyu Suru was first built by the Northern Qi dynasty (550-557). The patriots of the Ming Dynasty, renowned for their patriotism, Tan Lun and Qi Jiguang rebuilt the fortifications, strengthening their defense potential.

Where’s the Great Wall?

The city walls have been the northern protection shield for China for generations, defending the capital and the tombs of the emperors.

Mutianyu Walls, most of which are made of granite slabs, have a height of 7 to 8 meters and a width of 4 to 5 meters. Some of the trench walls are not rectangular but saw-tooth shaped. Under the trench walls, there are curved square gratings on the top, unlike traditional round gratings.

Unlike Badaling Walls, which are always overcrowded, Mutianyu is often secluded and more impressive. I would go to Beijing more than once and if you have enough time, I recommend both, and only Mutianyu. There are restaurants in Mutianyu but it is quite expensive by Chinese standards, I ate the egg soup which is the cheapest thing on the menu, here is the photo: Chinese cuisine

Transportation to Badaling Walls

To get to Badaling Walls, Deshengmen is a 5-10 minute walk from Exit B2 exit of Jishuitan metro station of metro line 2 and you can take the bus number 877 departing from 06:30 am to 12:30 pm. This direct bus, which costs 12 yuan and lasts for 1 hour, needs to walk a bit from the last stop or go with a pulley car.

Great Wall Badaling sightseeing map of China.

Another transportation option is the number 1 tourist bus that departs from the southwest of the Qianmen Arrow Tower on the south side of Tiananmen Square. There is a guide on the tour bus which costs 20 yuan; it leaves every half hour and takes 100 minutes.

There is also the bus number 919, but it takes a long time because it stops at many stops. If you want to go by train, you can take the S2 train (6 yuan, 1.5 hours) from Huangtudian station, get off at Badaling train station and walk for 15 minutes or take the free shuttle bus from the station to the cable car.

Badaling Great Wall is 7.6 kilometers long. Ticket costs 45 yuan, cable car 40 yuan. There are restaurants, fast food chain restaurants, hotels, the Great Wall Museum, a cinema with circular screens and shops.

The world’s largest structure of its visitors are very famous, such as US President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister Cameron, Argentine soccer player Diego Armando Maradona, the Los Angeles Lakers NBA superstar Bryant, Israeli Prime Minister Rabin, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Romania ‘s Prime Minister Dascalesc of South African President Mandela, the Cuban State President Castro, King Carlos of Spain .

Why was the Great Wall of China Built?

The Great Wall of China was laid by more than 20 kingdoms during the Warring Principalities of China (770 BC – 221 BC). Chu, Qi, Yan, Wei, Han, Zhao, Qin built the first sets on their borders to protect the kingdoms from each other. Qin, Zhao, Yan kingdoms were built to stop the attacks of XiongNu, DongHu, LinHu, Hiung-nu and protect the northern borders of the country. China’s first Emperor Qin Shi Huang decided to protect the north of the country with an insurmountable defensive wall.

There are different views on why this gigantic construction was built and its purpose; defending the borders of the country against the attacks of Mongol and Turkish tribes against China from the north, especially Hiung-nu ; to punish the captive rulers of the principalities destroyed at the end of long wars in exile and heavy works; avoid escapes from the country; to show the public and the country that the country is united under one rule.

The Fırtına Valley, which leans its back on the Kaçkar Mountains, has come to the fore with mountain and plateau tourism in recent years. With its foggy plateaus, small glacial lakes scattered over the mountains like jewels, historical mansions, stone arch bridges and lush nature, a different summer holiday awaits those who dream …

Fırtına Valley reflects the thousand and one colors of nature. In the Kaçkar Mountains, which was declared a national park in 1994, most of the national park area remains within the borders of Çamlıhemşin. It is also one of the 100 priority regions in the world for protection. Many rare plant and butterfly species in this special geography are endemic to the Kaçkars alone. These valleys and mountains host a total of 537 woody plants, 136 birds, 30 mammals, 21 reptiles and 116 endemic plant species. The region between the Fırtına Creek in the west of the Kaçkar Mountains and the Hemşin Creek to the east also has an extremely rich flora. The fauna of the region is equally rich. The valley is the home of many animals such as brown bear, wild boar, hook-horned mountain goat, wild goat, wolf, fox, jackal, wild cat, lynx, roe deer and badger.

2 HOURS FROM TRABZON …

You reach Fırtına Valley, which is within the borders of Çamlıhemşin, by a two-hour road trip from Trabzon. Upwards from the district center, the magnificent plateaus of the region begin to line up one by one. Hiking and camping lovers await beautiful routes here. In particular, Palovit, which is considered the heart of the Fırtına Valley, fascinates people with its natural old forests and plateaus that continue to keep the traditional architecture alive with its century-old wooden mansions. Those who want to explore the Firtina Valley on foot, not by vehicle, must take the road with a guide and be well-informed against adverse weather conditions. While visiting the valley and mountains, you should definitely take a camera or a camera with you. You will want to photograph the fascinating beauty of this geography and record the countless surprising surprises that the flora and fauna bring to you. Ayder was the first plateau to make the valley known in tourism. Ayder, which has become a tourism center with its healing hot springs, has unfortunately lost its originality to some extent with its increasing number of accommodation facilities in recent years. Kavrun Plateau, which comes after Ayder, also takes its share from this rapid construction. When you turn left before reaching the valley where Kavrun is located, the road opens to another valley where there are plateaus such as Çeymakçur, Paakçur, Huser and Avusor. This is a route preferred by those who want to see the general view of the Kaçkars. One of the routes that managed to preserve the natural beauty of the Firtina Valley the most is the beautiful Palovit Valley, which covers the Sal-Pokut-Hazindağ-Samistal plateaus. These plateaus stand out the most with the magnificence of their historical mansions. From the beginning of the 19th century, the Hamshens, who went abroad to Russia and Europe and gained experience in bakery products, built these large mansion-type houses in their hometowns with the money they earned. While Sal and Pokut were once the densest inhabited highlands in the region, they have become desolate in recent years. Today, especially local tourists show great interest in these two plateaus. Not only in the plateaus of Palovit, but in the plateaus in many regions of Firtina, the houses are now used mostly as summer houses. In the summer months, Hamshens from all over the country open their houses and spend their holidays here for a few months. Friends, relatives, neighbors and travelers meet; While the horons are kicked out in overalls, the children make new friendships; old people meet the energy of youth and become happy.

ICE LAKES

Glacial lakes are another beauty that enlivens nature at the height of the forest cover that adorns the Fırtına Valley. There are many glacial lakes in the region. The shores of the lakes with turquoise blue waters are the most preferred accommodation places for hikers. It takes 3-4 hours to reach the lakes on foot. First of all, Kavrun plateau, which is the exit point from Kaçkar from the north, and from here to the glacial lake called “Gelgelan” above Kavrun, can also be reached by Olgunlar. Çeymakçur and Avusor plateaus can be seen after a 45-minute walk following a 1-hour drive from Ayder. You can go to the lakes on the Verçenik side with 1-2 hour walks from this plateau.

THE BEAUTY OF STONE BRIDGES

It is impossible not to talk about the beauties of Fırtına and to mention the stone bridges. Hala, Mikrun and Çuklanut bridges on Hala Creek on the Ayder side; Most of the small stone bridges in Tilmisivat, Orenkit, Ham Bridge, Makrevis, Ortan, Kale, Çinçiva, Çilanç (Çat) bridges and Apevanak and Kale plateaus along the Fırtına Stream were built using chipped stone technique without using any mortar. Some bridges that have been restored by the highways have lost these features of course; but there are still those that keep their originality.

ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

There are many accommodation places in Fırtına Valley and Ayder in Çamlıhemşin. Boarding house management is also developing in the plateaus. You can stop by Ekodanitap Naturel Life before you reach Çamlıhemşin district center. In the place where you stay in the bungalows, you have the opportunity to have a meal accompanied by a large garden and stream view. In the district center, you can stay in the mini hotel named Moyy. Moyy is an extremely modest hotel that takes its name from the mountain strawberry and is in Çamlıhemşin standards and also serves with its café at the bottom. Hotels such as Doğa Hotel at the foot of Ortan village in Fırtına Valley, Fırtına Pension in Çinçiva village, Mola in Pokut Plateau, Koçira in Kito plateau, Cancık in Çat village, Ufuk Pension in Amlakit plateau, Kalegon, Bukla Oberj, Kardelen, Liligum in Ayder and You can stay in hostels …

It is possible to taste all the flavors of the local cuisine in the place called Çaynig, 1 kilometer above Çamlıhemşin district center. Çaynig’s chef and partner, Deniz Hanım, is a school pastry chef and successfully continues his traditional profession of bakery and pastry in the Hamshens, as a new generation master in his hometown. In Çaynig, you can find tastes such as sweet, savory cookies, muffins, pizza and cheesecake as well as local flavors such as muhlama, wrapped cabbage, pilina, which is a kind of pancakes, and kete. You can reach Çamlıhemşin or Kaçkarlar through tour companies. It is possible to reach the most beautiful plateaus with companies such as Tamzara Tur, Bukla, Folklarik,

How to Get to Pisa ?

Three days ago I found in Sicily, and then a short weekend was time to go back to Italy. In fact, two trips to Italy at such short intervals were not in my plans!

After a few months in Sicily I planned, I couldn’t say no when a close friend came to Pisa and Florence and I bought tickets for my trip to Tuscany.

In the early hours of the morning, today I am going to Pisa, the eye-catcher of Tuscany and Italy. Turkish Airlines’ direct voyage will take us to this city within a few hours . After the checks, we take off!

First of all, I have to talk about going to Pisa. The easiest way to get to Pisa from our country is by direct flights as I do. But these flights usually have in the summer and not very often. That is why I recommend that those who want to come to Pisa buy tickets to various Italian cities, especially Bologna and Rome .

Italy’s advanced train network allows you to easily reach Pisa from all these cities, from north to south. You will also visit Florence and other beautiful Italian cities on my route. In particular, Pegasus’ Bologna flights offer the best prices for this route.

Where is Pisa?

Now I’ll give you information about Pisa and Tuscany. I don’t speak much of Italy, this is a well-known and famous country in Southern Europe. Even those who say m I don’t know anything tanıy are familiar with the geography of the boot and the capital Rome .

Pisa is a small city in the central-northern part of Italy . It is located within 5-6 kilometers of the Mediterranean Sea on the west coast of the country. Its population is about 100 thousand. Pisa is one of Italy’s major tourist centers. Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of the most iconic buildings in Italy and the world.

Information about Tuscany

Tuscany, including Pisa, is one of the country’s 20 autonomous regions. Tuscany is especially known for its traces of the Renaissance period, rich artworks and wines . Florence, where the renaissance was born, is also within the borders of Tuscany.

Finally, when visiting Pisa and Italy, you need to get a Schengen Visa. Italy is an EU member state. If you come from other European countries do not have any passport control. Let me remind you that official passports are exempt from this visa.

Airport Galileo Galilei

After a fleeting flight of only two hours, the Tuscan lands began to appear! As the weather is clear and sunny, I see a pleasant view as I get off the plane. The cities of Livorno and Viareggio , alongside Pisa, as well as the Mediterranean are in my sight.

At 11:30 local time, we land at Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport. Soon I leave the terminal. No questions were asked during the passport check, I had a bit of hesitation because it was the second Italian initiative in a week .

I stand in front of the terminal, the view is very different from the airports I am used to. Pisa Airport is the only one of its kind, it’s like a cafe or park!

Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport is definitely the most sympathetic terminal I’ve ever seen, decorated with a lush green cover. With the boutique restaurants at the entrance of the airport and the statues in the garden, this is a very pleasant spot. For the first time, I will talk about an airport as a place to visit in the city.

Pisa Airport Transportation

Now let me tell you how to get to the city or to the Leaning Tower from Pisa Airport. What do you think would suit this lovely airport?

Of course you can just walk to the city, and it’s not on the freeway! A road with familiar houses. In just one kilometer you reach the center of the city. After this experience, using other airports will seem like a grind to me!

Places to Visit in Pisa

It’s hard to believe, but we’re starting to walk from the airport to the city, today I have a close friend Furkan who is accompanying me. We are cheerful and energetic and the weather is so beautiful güzel

We’re heading north from Airport Street. There are several storey cottage-style houses on this street. The street offers a well-groomed and green look, you can never get enough of walking in such an environment.

Pisa Train Station

Soon we’re at the city’s train station, Pisa Centrale.

I left the work force at the airport and I introduce the station Pisa’s train station is also worth seeing . You will probably reach the city from this station, and then you can see this beautiful station after the view!

Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II

I arrive a little further to the first main point of the city. This is Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. I came to Italy so much that sometimes I even talk about these squares as piazza. Learn these words now, say piazza challenge, torre tower, ponte bridge and fontana fountain.

Vittorio Emanuele II Square is the center of the city. All around you are buildings painted with light weight. The statue in the middle of the square belongs to Vittorio Emanuele II. As you know, Vittorio Emanuele is one of the former Sardinian Kings and the first king of the Kingdom of Italy.

Another striking structure in the square is St Anthony Abbey Church. It is true that it is not the most magnificent church in the city, but it has given a pleasant appearance to the square, with the architecture you can only come across in Italy.

Poste Italiane is just across the church . This post office is still in use. It is remarkable with its columns covering the pedestrian path and the traces of the Renaissance on its windows .

Corso Italia Street

I’m starting to get into the air of Pisa City now. I’m on the city’s most important tourist street; Corso Italia.

Corso Italia is the İstiklal of this place with its classical saying. The colorful houses of the street warm you at first sight . As the lunch hours approach, this place is so lively that I cannot tell you, I am in a touristic paradise. Tourists from different countries and boutique Italian cafes complement them.

Shopping, food and tourist activities in Pisa are available at Corso Italia. I can examine the houses that add color to life with the sun for hours, Pisa is a place that adds happiness to people.

The most historic member of the street is the church of Chiesa di Santa Maria del Carmine . The color of the building, whose appearance resembles a large village house from the outside, is quite compatible with Pisa. You can visit the inside of the church free of charge, a sweet place away from exaggeration.

Arno River

At the end of Corso Italia the river appeared! If you say the river, it can be taken, this is the Arno River, which is the subject of books, films and history . These waters testified to the Renaissance, and now, at a glance, it seems as if it reflected a lot of structures around us.

The Arno River is a long river that flows from the Alps to the Mediterranean Sea Train Sea. The flow rate is quite high. Throughout history, Pisa and Florence have been inundated . There have even been injuries and deaths in these disasters.

Arno divides the north and south of Pisa into two parts. The moment you come to the banks of this river, you cannot be captivated. It is almost integrated with the rainbow houses of Pisa . Even if I take dozens of square photos, I can’t throw the excitement in me, you have to see, it’s so beautiful.

Mezzo Bridge and Northern Pisa

I’m on Ponte di Mezzo. Here you can see the Arno River and Pisa City more clearly. Logge Dei Banchi at the southern end of the bridge where I came to my attention. This building , built with an innovative approach called Art Nouveau, completes the city atmosphere.

I enter Borgo Stretto from Garibaldi Square at the northern end of the bridge. This is a narrow street. In Central Italy, there are columns and descent at the ends of the houses . This area is a more mystical part of Pisa.

Church of San Michele in Borgo

I come across San Michele in Borgo Church on the street. This is one of the different structures of the city. Unlike the colorful ones, white dominated colors are used here . Along with the narrow street where the entrance is, it is like a hidden paradise.

San Michele in Borgo is free to visit, I think you should see. The air in the church is reminiscent of the middle age and the columns along the edge are impressive.

Piazza dei cavalieri

There are dozens of churches and squares that you can explore in the northern part of Pisa , and those who have time can explore. Now I’m in the other place I want to see in the city. This is Piazza dei Cavalieri, the Knights Square.

Cavalieri is an important tourist spot in Pisa. The square is lined with beautiful, historic buildings. The most famous of these is Palazzo della Carovana.

Carovana Palace

Carovana Palace, one of the oldest buildings of the city, built in the 16th century. The exterior is covered with marble and various figures . The building now houses a university in Pisa.

Opposite the palace there is another one called Canonica and next to it is the church of Santo Stefano dei Cavalier. What is most enjoyable is that you can pass through the streets and open the middle of the buildings .

Where is Pisa Tower?

I am now heading towards the Tower of Pisa, which you are all waiting for. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is located in the northwestern part of the city. The best way to get here is Via Santa Maria. If you follow this street, the Leaning Tower and Cathedral will greet you with a wonderful view!

The area around Via Santa Maria is quite lively. There are tiny shops and various tourist activities on the side of the road. Tourists do not pass because it is lunch hours.

Leaning Tower of Pisa

I arrive at Miracoli Square, in other words, Miracles Square. This square really deserves its name. The Tower of Pisa is in front of me.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a structure that you all will recognize. It was built in 1173 as the bell tower of thenearby Pisa Cathedral . The 56-meter-high tower consists of a series of six columns stacked on top of each other.

The tower has a magnificent Roman architecture. It symbolized the power of Pisa when it was built.Nowadays, this tower is known as the biggest tourist power, before the city!

Why the Leaning Tower of Pisa

What makes Pisa Tower famous is that it bends slowly from the date it was built. Due to the unstable soft ground on which it was built, it bowed 0.7 cm in average in 100 years.

The current inclination of the tower has reached 5.5 degrees. A plumb swinging down from the top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa fell 4.3 meters from the tower walls . Italians, the tower to survive periodically to work.

Legends of the Leaning Tower of Pisa

Leaning Tower of Pisa is also subject to various legends. The most well-known of these is that Galileo Galilei, who lives in Pisa, finds that the objects of different weights he threw down from this tower fall at the same time. There are also some who say the tower bends supernaturally.

Another building that accompanies the Leaning Tower in the Square of Miracles is the Cathedral of Pisa.

Pisa Cathedral

Pisa Cathedral is a private church built at the end of the 11th century and a characteristic example of the Romanesque Architecture known as Pisa . The plan in the cathedral carries Islamic traces with its large dome as well as Byzantium.

The inside of the cathedral is as beautiful as the outside. I have compared the interior design to a few churches in Rome, with gold embroidered ceilings and huge columns…

Baptistery of Pisa

The last member of the square and the Pisa Cathedral is the Pisa Baptistery.

Built in the mid-14th century, this baptistery is another part of the Cathedral of Pisa after the Leaning Tower. The building, which stands out with its giant dome, is a bit inclined like the Leaning Tower of Pisa .

There are almost no flat buildings in this area. You can see the slopes in the buildings with your eyes. Especially the Leaning Tower of Pisa is much more trapezoid than I expected and what is shown in the photos!

Pisa Tower Photos

The northern and western ends of Miracles Square are surrounded by walls. Inside the walls there is a large area covered with grass. You can take photos anywhere on these lawns, provided you do not get too close to the structures.

The most important activity of the Leaning Tower of Pisa should be taking photos . Here you must push the limits of your creativity with this oblique tower. Of course, we got our share from this tabii

Leaning to the Leaning Tower of Pisa?

We experienced the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Cathedral, but can’t we go to the top? Yes, you can, but you must buy tickets in advance. Everywhere around the Leaning Tower of Pisa is toll. There are two options in front of you;

If you want to watch Pisa from the top of the Leaning Tower , you have to pay 18 euros . This is a must in advance because the tower has a certain capacity!

Package tickets including the Baptistery, Camposanto Cemetery and the museum here are 8 euro. If you buy one of these tickets , you can visit Pisa Cathedral free of charge . My advice is 8 euros. I think it’s enough to experience the surroundings.

In this way, I completed the places to visit in Pisa. After this moment, we sit on a lawn by the Leaning Tower of Pisa and watch the view and snack . The food we brought with the advantage of having just arrived from Istanbul this morning is still fresh!

Why to Come to Pisa?

To sum up, Pisa was a city beyond my expectations. Maybe because I planned to see the Tower of Pisa without waiting for anything!

If you are coming to Pisa, you have to wander the streets of this city and soak up the atmosphere . It is so delightful and has its own air. This is a lovely spot for families and couples who want to experience romantic moments.

As well as a lot of tourists in the city, beyond the main streets are empty! There are plenty of places to explore along the Arno River, and you won’t see many crowds.

Is Pisa an Expensive Place?

Let’s talk about the street economy in Pisa. This place is surprisingly not too expensive. It is as if the area around the Tower of Pisa is separate and the rest of the city is a different world. As you move away from the Leaning Tower of Pisa, you will find more modest prices.

There are several small grocery stores in the city. Around 0.50 cents of water around here, plus gift shops open to bargains, I bought a beautiful Pisa keychain for only 1 euro!

What to eat in Pisa

There are also alternatives to eat in Pisa. This is Italy, I guess you don’t ask what we’re gonna eat. The most exclusive members of the Italian Cuisine can find all kinds of pizza and pasta in Pisa .

The pleasant restaurants in the narrow streets of Pisa reminded me of the intimate atmosphere in Naples. In addition, you can find more modern and touristy restaurants on Corso Italia.

Italy Cities Near Pisa

So, we’ve come this far, where else should we see? I don’t think you can think of Pisa apart from Florence. You can reach Florence in just 1 hour by train from Pisa. The prices of these trains are quite reasonable, so you don’t have to prepare beforehand.

Apart from that, Viareggio on the west coast is a nice spot to swim in Pisa . There are dozens of hotels and entertainment centers on Viareggio Beach. Especially in summer, this region is one of the most active points in Italy.

Pisa How Many Days to Visit?

I recommend for those who want to visit Pisa in 1 day. This place can be visited in 3-5 hours on foot . Even if you intend to explore deeper like me, you will complete it in a few days at most. It will be more profitable to evaluate your increased time in Pisa in the other cities I mentioned!

New York isthe most popular and most visited cityin the United States of America . Twenty-four hours standing, never sleeping, the streets and streets where the rich and the poor are together, and the intersection point of cultures with endless energy.

The history of New York, where everyone can find something from themselves, dates back to the 1600s. The city, which the first colonists founded the city called New Amsterdam, changed from New Holland to Dutch. Millions of people from all cultures of the world live together in this city, which is known as the melting pot of the United States of America.

New York is the most popular city in the world, hosting 8.5 million people with its traffic, crowds, rat race and hustle and bustle. Shopping, sightseeing, theater, cinema, music, dance, nightlife, luxury and bohemian life are all together in the city, which allows you to do all imaginable activities. Leading many trends in the world, New York is a center of finance, commerce, advertising, culture and arts, fashion, entertainment and gourmet.

The city, which is the center of the world, has numerous activities alongside the skyscrapers, the bright lights of Broadway and the top museums. In addition to first-class culture, entertainment and charm, there is a cosmopolitan diversity in which both tourists and residents are constantly striving to catch up.

Giant apple, Gotham, şehir the city that never sleeps ”or whatever you say, New York is arguably the most exciting and lively city in the world. As the capital of the globalizing world, New York is the world in the world. However, it may seem very crazy and complicated, but it doesn’t take long to feel the spirit of New York. His endless energy makes him a city that must be explored again and again.

New York City Travel Guide

Manhattan is one step ahead from the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island districts of New York. The center, which is already mentioned as New York City, is actually the island of Manhattan. Pedestrian traffic is also serious in the city where everything is within walking distance. It is possible to reach your destination easily in regular and planned streets.

Manhattan is divided by street numbers from south to north , Downtown Manhattan, Midtown Manhattan and Uptown Manhattan have three separate regions. Numbered from east to west, extending from north to south 12 streets and 220 streets crossing these avenues parallel, the street numbering goes from the north end of the island to the south.

New York does not follow trends, it creates. New Yorkers can transform the oldest things into the most elegant and enjoy the most simple things. They meet for lunch, socialize in galleries, do shopping until the end, start searching for the next places to go in the region and finally enjoy a cocktail in a rooftop bar. That’s why it’s a place where people from every culture feel like home, and you’ll feel the same.

New York City Travel Forum

New York is the favorite center of tourists. But when you go to the historic South Harbor, you will encounter a place surrounded by old buildings that remind you of the city’s past. Manhattan is truly a place for both living and traveling. You can’t claim to be here without seeing Soho, going to Greenwich Village and Bleecker Street, visiting Chelsea galleries. Don’t even think about leaving town without seeing Midtown’s shopping paradise 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue.

Once you’ve done it all, you can retire to Central Park. People come to have fun in Central Park, an oasis in the middle of this big city, or go to restaurants or bars in another popular place, Meatpacking.

In fact, you should stay away from Times Square, a tourist hell, but it is obvious that you will not! So at least do it at night so you can capture the image of billboards and neon lights. Maybe one of your Broadway shows might interest you.

1. The most famous skyscraper in the world: Empire State

The name Harlem is often used to say bad things about New York, but permanent changes in the region have also changed the perception. Religious buildings and church music in the center of Harlem offer a different experience. Harlem, which consists of three different regions where Black people, Hispanic and Cubans live, attracts a lot of attention from the restaurants serving local taste.

11. Battery Park

Battery Park is an important respite at the southern end of Manhattan. With a great view of the sunset with skate and hiking paths, this park is also within walking distance of Wall Street. Wall Street, one of the most famous streets in Manhattan, has a symbolic meaning in the shadow of tall buildings. The wall, which was built in 1653 to protect Dutch colonists from the British, was in this street in the past.

16th Mile Museum

The Upper East Side is an area to the east of Central Park with many famous museums. The area between the 8th and 104th Streets is called the Museum Mile. Choose one of the best museums in the world, one mile from each other: the Metropolitan, the Frick collection or the Guggenheim.

New York, some of the world’s best classical art collections, can also be seen at Morgan’s Library , where well-preserved manuscripts, rare books and prints .

17. Stunning Architecture

In a city with modern city architecture, it is very difficult to mention just a few places. One of the most important is the Chrysler Building . The eye-catching Neo-Gothic Woolworth building will catch your eye before the 1930 building, which has an eye-catching ornament on top. Also impressive are Norman Foster’s Hearst Tower and Frank Gehry’s IAC.

You can buy a tour to see the city from the river, take a helicopter ride or go all the way to Niagara Falls.

New York eating and drinking

While there is no other city in the world where cultural and ethnic diversity is so complex, New York cuisine has also got its share. Although it is necessary to book months in advance to enter some restaurants in New York, where alternatives are not exhausted with 20,000 kinds of food, remember that you have the opportunity to have lunch every day for another 50 years.

The most famous food pizza and cheesecake in New York. Pizza, one of the main meals of Americans, is easily available throughout the city. In the city where there are many quality restaurants, you can also see French, Chinese, Turkish, Italian, Greek, Arabic, African, Persian and Thai flavors from international cuisine.

It is possible to find flavors from all over the world in New York. With about 13,000 restaurants, you won’t be hungry here. You can start the day with a brunch at the cafés at SoHo and head to Bleecker Street and the Meatpacking area, where the best restaurants are located.

The best dining options and five-star venues are usually located in Midtown, while more tourist chains are located around Times Square.

New York Shopping

Anyone coming to New York will surely do shopping. The city, which is the consumption center of the world, is a shopping paradise. You can find everything from the most exotic foods to the trendy products. Whether you spend $ 5 or $ 5,000, the only guarantee is that you will have an unforgettable shopping experience. You can shop 7 days a week in the metropolis where everything from the best shops, boutiques and gourmet restaurants is available.

Shops and top luxury brands are located on Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue (59th to 79th Street). One of the city’s landmarks, Macy’s (the world’s largest store in its own name) is located on the corner of 34th Street and Broadway.

More interesting and independent boutiques are at SoHo. Most of the shops are located around Prince and Spring Street.

How to get to New York

If you are coming from outside the US, you will land at JFK Airport in Queens or Newark Liberty across the Hudson River. The city’s third airport, La Guardia, is used for domestic flights.

You can use buses that take about 1 hour to get to Manhattan from JFK, or you can take a taxi for $ 35 to $ 50 including a tip. If you are traveling alone, taxi seems to be the best option. Better yet, talk to your hotel and ask him to pick you up at the airport.

If you’re going to Newark, you can reach Manhattan’s Penn Station in 20 minutes with a free monorail from the airport. Alternatively, you can take a taxi for 50 bucks and get to your destination in about 40 minutes depending on the traffic.

If you want to see Niagara Falls, The Hamptons, or Atlantic City’s casinos, renting a car is the best option.

New York is the most visited metropolis in the United States , which deserves the title of a city that never sleeps . If you want to keep up with the rhythm of New York, you can live to the fullest from theater, shopping, nightlife with dance rhythms, luxury to low-budget travel.

When it comes to Costa Rica, there is only one word “Pura Vida” that summarizes the whole island. This idiom, which has turned into a symbol of the country, 30% of its lands are protected, suits this place where you will feel more safe than ever, calm down with its nature and find yourself.

Costa Rica, where nature behaves generously while rewarding it, making it proud of its unique natural beauties and a rare biodiversity, almost has all the beauties of both continents with its location between North and South America. Besides the enviable waters of the Caribbean, Costa Rica, which is home to the enchanting rocks of the Pacific with its wavy sea, reveals all its beauties to your feet to give you an unforgettable holiday.

Costa Rica is one of the countries internationally renowned for the density and diversity of its natural resources. Despite the area that covers only 0.03% of the earth, it has about 6% of the plant and animal differences in the world. This biological difference means more than half a million plants and wildlife. Costa Rica is home to more than 850 bird species, 600 butterfly categories, 1200 different orchid and 237 mammal species. The country’s biological protection areas and national park systems are considered to be the most developed natural areas in the world. Today, 28% of the country is managed as a National Park, Biological Reserve and wildlife national shelters, and Costa Rica has already managed to rank first in the world rankings with these protected lands.

Costa Rica has a coastline of 1290 kilometers, in accordance with its name meaning rich coast. 4 million inhabitants of this Central American country, despite Turkey being covers an area one-tenth the size is not even on the entire continent of North America ecological diversity, world animal diversity of the fifth, a country with natural beauty like heaven. There are 112 volcanoes in the country, some of which are still active. While the tropical weather is experienced on the ocean shores, the hills of the mountains have cool and insatiable beauty like the Swiss Alps. Let’s get to know this wonderful country closely together.

A Costa Rican classic:
Rafting, surfing and canoeing

Costa Rica, which hosts beautiful streams and rivers, makes it famous with the world-famous Pacuare River. Pacuare, 35 kilometers long, not only draws you deep into the canyon, but also welcomes you in the lap of nature with its unique tropical forest view. If you want to spend an unforgettable weekend by this river;
www.costaricaexpeditions.com
We recommend that you take a look at the address. This experience for $ 260 offers you an unforgettable two days with a challenging nature.

So where would you like to spend your night? Is it by the river or deep in the forest? The camping areas on the coastline, log houses and tent accommodation areas that appeal to everyone can meet many things, including your hot water needs. Riostropicales is ready to welcome you for $ 250 for an organized two-day trip and accommodation service.

Another water sport we recommend you do in Costa Rica is surfing. If you want to leave yourself in the arms of the waves on the world-famous shores of Central America, take time to walk on long beaches when you get tired and lie on fine yellow sand, our suggestion is Playa Grande Beach near Tamarindo. Tamarindo, located in the northwest of the country, has already taken its place among the most frequented places in the world for all surf lovers with its surf schools, boat and surfboard rentals. Another famous stop for surfers is Pavones, located in the southwest of the country. If you say you don’t know how to surf, don’t worry, it is possible to take lessons from Costa Rica’s most famous surfers at very affordable prices. Besides Playa Grande, Playa Conchal and Montezuma at the end of the Nicoya Peninsula are among the pristine beaches. Remember that you will have to share your space with other living creatures in Costa Rica, which hosts thousands of tourists every year with its beaches similar to Cancun. It is possible to come across an iguana sunbathing on the same beach or a pelican diving in the water at any time.

If you are fascinated by the streams of the country and you want to visit the most special nature park of the country, Tortuguero, by water, do not miss the pleasure of canoeing on the Rio Pacuare River. If you would like to paddle on black colored water among the untouched forests of Tortuguero and take part in mountain hiking and climbing activities, check out the Classic Tico vacation. Monteverde from Arenal Volcano
Tico organizations, which include many places up to the Rainforest, are a great opportunity for you to visit the most special places of Costa Rica. If you say that surfing or canoeing alone is not enough, I want to spend my Costa Rica vacation full of nature sports, multisport centers are for you. Wild and Adventures tours, which include all kinds of nature sports from water skiing to volcanic mountain trekking, from canoeing to surfing, are waiting for you with their interesting organizations.

Rainforest safari

Costa Rica, which is a place of pilgrimage for all nature lovers, awaits you with its beaches and dark-colored water channels in the Tortuguero Nature Park in the northeast of the country. The ‘Full of Turtles’ Tortuguero Nature Park, which means completely turtle, is home to white-necked Capuchin monkeys, spiders, 320 bird species and many more reptiles. The most important symbol of the park is the green turtles, which are in danger of extinction.
If you happen to be in Tortuguero, don’t go back without stopping by the volcanic mountain in Volkan Arenal Nature Park and the La Fortuna Region, which includes Monteverde Nature Park. Accompanied by local people or local tour guides, you can be alone in the middle of nature by crossing the suspended wooden bridge between the rainforests and connecting the hills on the Arenal tour. In La Fortuna Region, which is described as the heart of Costa Rica, transportation is provided by sea and land. If you wish, you can stay in this region and spend time in the Tilaran Mountain Range, which is 1403 meters above sea level. The Tilaran Mountain Range, which is home to the cloud forests of Monteverde, is so high that those who come here feel as if they are traveling above the clouds. For this reason, Costa Rica’s rainforests are also called cloud forests. The Monteverde Nature Park, which hosts 2000 types of plants, 400 kinds of birds and 100 kinds of mammals, including many different orchids, is like a home for reptiles. Monteverde, Costa Rica’s favorite place in ecotourism, offers its visitors a wide range of options such as canoeing, hiking, natural life observation and visiting butterfly farms.

Volcano climbing

There are 112 volcanoes in the country, some of which are still active. If the volcanoes are your focus, another suggestion for you is to climb the Irazu Volcano, which continues to be active today. One of the two craters within the park boundaries, ‘Diego de la Haya’ hosts an interesting 300 meters deep lake. While the lake is sometimes observed in light green color, another day it can be seen in red. The lake, which has not seen enough vegetation around it, gives you the feeling of being in a desert instead of Costa Rica. Corcovado Nature Park, which is home to the oldest rainforests in the southwest of the country, is ready to give you a real safari experience. You can find cheap flights from Tortuguero to Corcovado, or you can make your Costa Rica vacation perfect by taking tours that include both nature parks. Manuel Antonio Nature Park, located between Concovado and Monteverde Nature Parks on the Pacific coast, hosts the most beautiful beaches of all three countries. If you say I want to be in touch with nature, many activities such as hiking, canoeing, bird watching, water activities for dolphin watching, horse riding, snorkeling are ready for you, your guests. It is possible to see the monkeys up close in the park, which is home to more than 100 mammal species and 160 bird species. If you say I want to relax without doing any program, you can spend time in the black sand beaches swinging in a hammock and have a wonderful day in the lap of nature. Exciting sports activities for adventurers are organized by El Remanso, located in the Osa Peninsula, one of the regions where the rainforests are the most diverse in the world. You can go down by holding a rope along the waterfall, that is, you can join the work done by the mountaineers on the waterfall or join hiking tours up to 6 hours. The world-famous Osa Wildlife Protection Area on the Osa Peninsula is among the places that nature lovers cannot stop by. If the scenes of bathing under a waterfall or swimming in the lake under the waterfall that you see in the movies are among the scenes you always admire, it is worth mentioning that you are much closer to this dream in Costa Rica. Costa Rica’s most popular waterfalls, Montezuma, Nauyaca and Murim, are among the places where tourists do not return to their countries without stopping by, hosting hundreds of waterfalls of various sizes.

Life in Costa Rica

When Christopher Columbus came to this small island near the Caribbean coast, he named it “Costa Rica”, which means “Rich Beach” because of its gold deposits. Today’s natives of the country are thought to be the Spaniards who immigrated here from Guatemala in the 16th century. Since there were no Indians and Negro slaves here, the Spaniards developed their economy by cultivating their own land. It is known that the colonic era of Costa Rica was full of misery and poverty. Today, tourism is among the main sources of income, while most of the people are engaged in fishing and agriculture. People who prefer to live in single-storey wooden bungalow houses are very conscious of protecting natural life and living in harmony. It is seen that there are few indentations and protrusions on the eastern coasts of the country and there are many on the western coasts. Therefore, the slopes descending from the mountainous inland regions to the coastal plains are quite steep. The humid Ecuadorian climate prevails in the coastal plains where eastern winds prevail, warm in the middle and cold in the higher parts. The cold in Costa Rica is not severe; if it snowed was not seen. On the coasts, the temperature is between 25 -32 ° C on average and 21-27 ° C in the middle. It does not exceed 10 ° C in high regions. If you want to make your ride on the slopes without mud and rain, we recommend you to take your Costa Rica holiday between December, when the rains begin to decrease, and April, when the temperature starts to rise.

It is possible to find a suitable hotel, house or a villa to rent for a long time. Costa Rica is a country where all natural wonders that will differentiate your holiday understanding with its natural beauties and Caribbean atmosphere are generously gathered together.

A colorful culture

During your visit here, forget the food you are used to and the Caribbean culture you find familiar. Costa Rica is a combination of the elegance of Spanish culture with all the colors of the Caribbean. Colorful Spanish-style skirts and large baskets that you will see on Costa Rican girls offer interesting displays to guests during festivals and ceremonies. Reflecting their understanding of color and elegance to their handicrafts, Costa Ricans are also very advanced in ceramics, wood, glass and metal processing. You will notice that the sense of color we see in other Caribbean cultures is also in Costa Rica. Processed glass, ceramic and wooden items are painted colorfully and prepared for sale. Especially the accessories they make with the precious stones obtained from the fertile lands and river beds are subject to the intense interest of the tourists. Make sure that these accessories, which you can find at a very affordable price, are made of original stones. Costa Ricans, who continue to produce hand-woven carpets, prepare woven carpets of all sizes so that you can bring them with you as a souvenir.

You can take it while turning

It is possible to see the influence of Cuba in the tobacco industry here, too. It’s impossible to be indifferent to the ornate, painted paper of wrapped cigarettes and cigars. Wooden masks, which were also developed under the influence of Cuban culture, also met the colors of Costa Rica and turned into a wonderful gift. In addition to items such as carpets and ceramics, coffee is among the things you can bring with you.

Taste…

If you get tired of shopping and dive into the streets of the city and say you want to try local food in a random place, we have a few suggestions for you. Food is very affordable in Costa Rica; most of them are served with popped rice and black beans. Gallo Pinto, which is one of the most important consumer goods in Egypt and can be eaten at breakfast and as an aperitif, is among the favorites of tourists. It’s worth noting that Gallo Pinto is in calories that can keep your energy levels high at all times. Our recommendation for lunch is Casado prepared with tomato sauce and cabbage. You will love Casado, which is served with various vegetables. You cannot come back to the Caribbean and return without tasting fresh seafood. It is possible to eat many different seafood from shrimp to lobster at an affordable price. The places where you can get the best fresh seafood are fishermen restaurants and beach cafes. Yuca and Plantain, especially Bocas, are the starter dishes you should definitely taste.

It is worth remembering that tropical fruits are among your options. Fruits are diverse, delicious and cheap. In addition to these, it is not difficult to find fast food-style foods that you are used to in the country.

In Costa Rica, we can’t say that the streets outside of certain streets are safe and the crime rate is low, but Costa Rica, with its peaceful and friendly Tica (the name given to itself by the locals), promises you more than a holiday in the lap of nature. Bridges built at high levels and in forests and parks, especially under protection by the state, are of great importance for the safety of life. Costa Rica is also assertive about nightlife. You will not want to leave nightclubs full of music and entertainment for your taste. Alamo Costa Rica is one of the addresses you can apply if you want to rent a car in Costa Rica.

Transport / Roaming

If you want to visit as many places as possible in Costa Rica, renting a car is the best option. However, keep in mind that this fast and practical method of transportation is also a good alternative, given that most Costa Ricans do not own a car and the public transport system is well established. If you prefer public transportation, it would be better to depart from San Jose because this is the center of the public transportation network. Vehicles in many destinations pass through here. Therefore, you can also use San Jose to transit from one place to another.

Another way to visit Costa Rica in the best way is by domestic flights. Sansa and Nature Air are domestic flights airline in Costa Rica. If you do not like long journeys of 8-12 hours and your time is limited, the plane is the best way.

Renewing itself in many areas, especially in its architecture, artistic texture and cuisine, Innsbruck as the modern face of Austria fascinates tourists from all over the world.

When you see the art collection in Ambras Castle, you realize that the city of Innsbruck was timeless even 400 years ago. You will realize in amazement how innovative the strange objects in the collection were even in their own times as they are today. When you visit Ambras Castle, sculptures and deformed human portraits carved from a tree called “death” are nothing like the kind of artifacts you are used to seeing in an ordinary museum. Today, Innsbruck remains a city with its eyes on the future and innovation. However, it is debated whether it is appreciated sufficiently for this feature.

What they offer their visitors is not limited to skiing …

For many, the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to Innsbruck is that Austria is a city famous for its ski sport and history. Of course, due to its mountainous location, the city offers an environment suitable for winter sports, especially skiing. Innsbruck is also known as a city that hosted the Winter Olympics twice, in 1964 and 1976. However, the beauty that the city has to offer its visitors is not just skiing and a few old churches. Like Salzburg and the city of Linz, which was reborn from its ashes by being selected as the European Capital of Culture in 2009, Innsbruck decisively changed the showcase. Although it gained a modern look, Innsbruck successfully made this change without losing anything from its traditional elements and historical fabric. All modernization and improvement work has been carried out with the utmost care, respecting the glorious history of Innsbruck. Italian influences can be felt in the city center, which hosts 120,000 people. In fact, this is not surprising. Given the proximity of Innsbruck to Italy, Switzerland and Germany, it shouldn’t be surprising that there are many tourists visiting the city. Although this is a truly cosmopolitan city, it has an important difference from the others: You cannot encounter crowds, air pollution and traffic. The truth is that almost everything that attracts tourists to Vienna can be found in Innsbruck. For example, if you are looking for flashy palaces, delicious food, a busy calendar of events, you can find them all in Innsbruck. One of the advantages of this fascinating city, which is located in a quiet valley at the foot of the mountains, must be its magnificent view. After several years of meticulous restoration, the city’s artists carefully compiled ancient textiles, wallpapers, and paintings to revive the Imperial Palace as one of Austria’s cultural treasures. Today, this historical building from the 14th century is flooded with visitors with its new appearance. World famous brands In Wattens, a small town in the east of Innsbruck, is the headquarters of the Swarovski, its affiliated Kristallwelten or Crystal Worlds brands. Do not think that you will only learn how the crystals are made here and what processes they go through before they are put up for sale in stores with a quick tour. Each of the rooms at Swarovski Kristallwelten is a work of art. Talented artists involved in the project, such as Andre Heller, Niki de Saint Phalle and Brian Eno, offer true creativity and originality to visitors to Swarovski Kristallwelten. Brian Eno is the composer of the great music you will hear while walking around. While you are here, it is not possible to stop by the gift shop. You can relax and eat or drink in the company’s VIP room while looking at the souvenirs and deciding which to buy.

See the famous architect Zaha Hadid’s signature in the city

If you think Swarovski Kristallwelten is the only interesting and futuristic place in the area, then you are wrong. Be sure to visit the Nordpark Cable Railway. Just see the creative designs of the Nordpark Cable Railway’s four stations to understand the talent of Zaha Hadid, winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize. Another Hadid’s masterpiece in Innsbruck is Bergisel Skijump Stadium. Be sure to visit this unique design. You don’t need to go up a high hill to see the magnificent view of the city. A popular bar serving on the top floor of the shopping center called Rauthaus Galerien is designed as a glass cylinder. You can sip the bar’s magnificent cocktails while watching the breathtaking view of the city. You can also try the restaurant called Lichtblick right next to the bar. If you want to have a superb dinner overlooking the valley view, then be sure to stop by Schöneck. Although it is a little difficult to find, insist and be sure to stop by here. You will love the flavors of the restaurant’s chef, Alfred Miller. One of the popular restaurants in Innsbruck is Sitzwohl. The restaurant is run by two female chefs. These two female chefs, who have worked in the country’s famous restaurants and hotels for many years, present their years of experience to their customers with the unique tastes of this cute restaurant. This used to be a school building. Architect Irmgard Frank turns this historical building into a stylish restaurant with its unique design. Contrasting colors are emphasized in the decor of the restaurant.

How to travel?

With the Innsbruck Card, which you can obtain from the Innsbruck Tourism Office, you can use all public transport in the city unlimitedly during your holiday. With this card, you can take a trip to Swarovski Kristallwelten and enter many tourist attractions in the city with various discounts. For more detailed information;
www.innsbruck.info
You can visit the address.

When to go?

In the summer, the green trees of the city covered with flowers draw attention as the sun shows its face. This period is the best time to visit the city, especially for those who love outdoor sports such as hiking. If you are interested in skiing and other winter sports, it would be better to prefer the cooler months, especially the winter months. If you want to visit the city especially on New Year’s Eve, be sure to stop by Innsbruck’s traditional Christmas Market. This place is considered to be Europe’s largest Christmas Market.

ANTALYA

First of all vacation plans …

Antalya carries the traces of big cities rather than being a summer resort. However, Kaleiçi, known as the old Antalya, looks like a completely different city in Antalya with its unique character.

Kaleiçi, one of the most important ports of the Mediterranean for hundreds of years, stands in the calm of a coastal town. Of the four main gates that provide entrance and exit to Kaleiçi, only Hadrian’s Gate has survived to the present day. There are many historical boutique hotels and gourmet restaurants in Kaleiçi.

In the past, parts of the double row walls surrounding Kaleiçi are still intact. Two mosques from the Seljuk period in Kaleiçi are worth seeing. M.S. The remaining part of the mosque, which was built by Beyazıd’s son Sultan Korkut, on a church dating back to the 5th century, burned down as a result of a fire in the 19th century. Although there is not much left from the mosque, its minaret, known as Kesik Minaret, is still standing.

The Fluted Minaret in Kale Kapısı Square has almost become the symbol of Antalya. The minaret is in a large complex. The complex, built by the Seljuks, consists of the Fluted Minaret, the Yivli Mosque, the Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev Madrasa, the Seljuk Madrasa, the Mevlevihane, Zincirkıran and Nigar Hatun Tombs. The 38-meter-high Fluted Minaret, whose body is made of bricks and turquoise tiles, was built in the 13th century. The minaret, which takes its name from the 8 grooves lined around it, is known as the oldest Islamic work in the city. The 6-domed Yivli Mosque, located to the west of the minaret, was built in 1372 by an architect named Balaban Tavsi.

Antalya Houses

The beautiful Antalya houses, lined up in the narrow streets of Kaleiçi, have regained their old magnificent appearance thanks to the restoration works. While the facades of the houses, which are generally built with masonry stones and wooden connections, face the street, the parts that do not see the street are left as gardens. Today, these gardens host the pools and restaurants of boutique hotels. The “Suna-İnan Kıraç Kaleiçi Museum” consists of the Traditional Antalya House and the exhibition hall in Aya Yorgi Church. Although they seem different from each other, these sections, which have many common points and ties, serve in three historical Kaleiçi houses and a church that is at least 200 years old next to these houses. Ancient cities, waterfalls, Perge and Aspendos Ancient Cities, Düden and Kurşunlu Waterfalls are other attraction points of the region. Perge Ancient City, 18 kilometers from Antalya, was one of the important cities on the trade route between Cilicia and Pisidia in the past. Today, Aspendos is among the ancient cities that attract the most tourists. The history of the city of Aspendos goes back 3000 years from today. The theater M.S., which is still used for concerts and shows today. It was built by the Romans in the 2nd century. Antalya is a rich place not only with its historical ruins but also with its natural formations. Düden Waterfall is 10 kilometers from the center. As interesting as Düden Waterfall is that its waters flow through Antalya and pour into the Mediterranean from the cliffs. Kurşunlu Waterfall is literally a corner of heaven. The waterfall, pouring from a height of 18 meters, has created 7 ponds. The waterfall has entered the tourist routes and is flooded with visitors throughout the day.

For holiday village lovers; КЕМER

The holiday concept in Kemer is mostly based on “holiday village” customers. For this reason, Kemer attracts attention with its lively nightlife and touristic shops.

Kemer, which can be literally called the republic of holiday villages, is very suitable for those who do not want to deal with the questions of where I eat or how I spend my day. All kinds of holiday villages, which can meet all the needs of families with children and have everything you want, have come together in Kemer. All you have to do is choose the one that best suits your budget and expectations and enjoy your holiday. The dolphins’ show can be watched in the Dolphinarium, which attracts especially the attention of children in Kemer. If you want to eat and understand the lifestyle of Yörük culture, which is dominant in the region, you should visit Yörük Park in Küçük Burun. Although Kemer’s Blue Flag beaches seem like the property of the resorts and hotels lined along the coast, anyone who wishes can benefit from these areas provided that they do not use umbrellas and sun loungers. Moonlight Beach, on the right side of the peninsula, is completely open to the public.

Thanks to its sheltered structure against winds and the businesses listed right behind the beach, it is in great demand especially on weekends. The beach that stretches to the other side of the peninsula is mostly used by the customers of the hotels. Phaselis Ancient City, located near Kemer, is one of the must-see places in the region. B.C. The city, thought to have been founded around 690, is between the pine trees and the seaside. Waves hit what’s left of the city. The cable car ride was made to Tahtalı Mountain in the past years and gave an extraordinary experience to those who came to the region. With the longest cable car line in Europe, you can reach the peak of Tahtalı Mountain at an altitude of 2365 meters. The journey to the summit takes 10 minutes with the cable cars that move every half hour throughout the day.

Three beauties of the Mediterranean; OLIMPOS, ADRASAN, ÇIRALI

Olympos is the choice of young people looking for a social environment combined with naturalness. Here, they can have long vacations in the treehouses and bungalows very cheaply. Çıralı, on the other hand, hosts mostly middle-age families with a good income. The calmness of Adrasan attracts middle and older age group rather than young people.

There are many tracks for hiking enthusiasts in the region. The most delightful Lycian Way tracks marked with red and white dots are in this region. The most interesting place in Çıralı is the area known as Yanartaş. Around the flames of Yanartaş, which guided sailors in the past, holidaymakers begin to gather with wine bottles in the evening.

Although little remains of the ancient city of Olympos, which is just behind the beach, it still continues to fascinate people with its geographical location. The ruins of the city, which was founded on both shores of Akdere, flowing between Musa Mountain and Omurga Mountain, are surrounded by the fertile nature of the region. B.C. The city, thought to have been founded around the 3rd century, is now a protected area. The region is also within the borders of the national park. For this reason, Olimpos and Çıralı were able to resist significant construction. Shaded by pine nut trees, the beach is also one of the few beaches in our country where the caretta carettas lay their eggs in July. The beach of Olympos, embracing the turquoise sea of the Mediterranean, was selected as the best beach in the world according to a survey conducted in England in recent years. Adrasan, which is less known, can maintain its silence and calmness even during the busiest months of the year. Adrasan’s shallow sea is ideal for those who do not know how to swim and for children. It is not affected by the winds thanks to its 2-kilometer protected beach. The mountain rising on its left side is visually pleasing to people. The right side of the beach is covered with pine trees. You have the chance to reach the small coves at the bottom of the pine trees thanks to the dirt road that runs towards this side.

The city of Santa Claus; DEMRE

Çay Ağzı’s long deserted beach and Santa Claus tourism make Demre interesting for both nature and history enthusiasts.

St. Nicholas, who once lived in Demre, is known in the Christian world as Santa Claus. Although it is not known exactly how Saint Nicholas turned into Santa Claus, it is accepted that he was born in Patara and buried in Demre. Famous as the patron saint of children and sailors, the tomb of St. Nicholas was in the church here. For this reason, the church attracts many visitors. Of course, this interest naturally gave birth to a Santa Claus industry in Demre. From rugs to gourds in the shops around the church, Santa Claus is painted everywhere.

“Location of mother goddess…”

Demre is also home to Myra, one of the 6 most important cities of Lycia. Myra means “the place of the mother goddess”. Kent BC. It dates to the 5th century. Myra, which was the capital of Lycia during the Roman period, M.S. It was abandoned around the 11th century. The quite solid theater and rock tombs that look like apartments make the city worth seeing. The Lycian League’s biggest theater, which is also the best preserved, looks quite magnificent with its 29 rows of seats and a capacity of 9-10 thousand people. Known as the port of the ancient city of Myra, Andriake is located next to the coastline called Çay Mouth. Although there is not much left from the ancient harbor, Çay Ağzı beach between two streams is worth seeing. Çay Ağzı draws attention with its long and deserted beach. Beymelek Village, near Demre, is famous for both its lagoon and lobsters. Here, the sea built a lagoon, forming a small lake. Several makeshift restaurants along the coast offer interesting surprises for a meal break. In these restaurants you have the chance to eat very cheap lobsters grown in the lagoon.

The mystery of the sunken city; KEKOVA

The sea is magnificent in every corner of the region, which is generally called Kekova. In addition, the most beautiful parts of the walking route called the Lycian Way are around Simena.

The region consists of Kekova Island, Üçağız and Simena. The sea is magnificent in every corner of the region, which is generally called Kekova. Few parts of the generally rocky coasts allow swimming in the sea. You can also enjoy the pleasure of enjoying the sea offshore by boat here. There is no road access to Tersane Bay. The wooden fishing piers of Üçağız and Simena are also very suitable for enjoying the sea. Tersane Bay is the most enjoyable place in the region for those who like to swim from the shore. This small bay, called Xera in ancient times, was used as a maintenance and repair place for boats in Byzantine and later periods. It is possible to reach the bay, which does not have a highway, only by boat or canoe. Simena Ancient City, one of the most special places in the Mediterranean, is intertwined with Kale Köy built on a hillside. M.S. While an earthquake in the region in the 2nd century was a disaster for the people of that period, it also caused the emergence of today’s magnificent view. Kekova, which was a single piece with Simena in the past, is now an island. As you sail from the shores of the island, you can see the houses where people once lived and the stairs of the city in all details under the water. This sunken city adds mystery to the region.

The Lycian sarcophagi lined up on the hills are extremely intact. Apart from the ones on the hill, the most interesting example of the sarcophagus is the sarcophagus half buried in the water. Medieval Castle, mini theater carved into the rock, Roman bath and Byzantine Church are other ruins that can be seen in Simena. There is no road to Kale Village where Simena is located. It is possible to reach the ruins by a half-hour trail or boat from Üçağız. In addition, the most beautiful parts of the walking route called “Lycian Way” are located around Simena. In general, the entire region is home to Turkey’s best-preserved settlements. Its castle placed on the hill like a crown, stone houses flowing into the sea, pathways and people who continue their daily lives take you to another time in Simena. The few small pensions here are literally like retreats. You are left in the middle of deep silence and stars in Simena nights.

Opposite the rock; KAŞ

Kaş, an important city of the Lycian Union, surrounded by steep mountains and sea, is now home to those who escape from big cities.

Kaş, whose name was Antiphellos in the past, has a meaning that suits its appearance. This name, which means “Opposite of the Rock”, fits very well with the rocky geography at the foot of the mountain where Kaş is established. With its distance from the big cities and the serpentine roads running parallel to the sea, Kaş has always remained away from the invasion of crazy crowds. However, there are those who are passionately attached to it. They travel 1000 kilometers from Istanbul to Kaş, even just to stay for the weekend. The colossal sarcophagus that suddenly appears at the end of the Long Bazaar, where the heart of Kaş beats, remained from the Lycians who believed in the immortality of the soul, and today it has become the symbol of Kaş. The sarcophagus on the shore and the rock tombs carved into the mountain behind Kaş are other Lycian artifacts that should be seen in Kaş. The ancient theater is the most robust and important structure left from Lycia in Kaş. The theater, which is located just to the right of the road to the Çukurbağ Peninsula, has 26 steps and is quite intact. The most beautiful part of it is the view of the Mediterranean’s dark blue waters and Meis Island, which stand before you like a painting when you sit on these steps. Since the shores of Kaş are rocky, beach lovers can only find what they are looking for in Küçük and Büyük Çakıl Beaches. However, they can find much more of what they are looking for in Kaputaş Beach. Kaputaş Beach, which adorns tourism posters with its turquoise sea, appears before you like an oasis on the quite winding Kaş-Kalkan road. There are no facilities on the beach; Therefore, it is beneficial to be supplied with food and drink. And don’t forget your umbrella. Especially during the day, the sun is extremely scorching and there is nothing that can be protected from the sun. Although the steps descending to Kaputaş are sufficient for those who want to do sports on holiday, the mini canyon lying at the back of the beach is recommended for those who want to walk more. Kaş, which is the favorite of diving enthusiasts, will make the holidaymakers happy not only with its clean sea and strong environmental options, but also with its various activities. Thanks to the diving centers operating here long before the paragliding activities that started in recent years, Kaş has taken its place among the important diving points of our country and the world. With nearly 70 diving points in its vicinity, it will satisfy the underwater lovers. It is possible to find tastes from world cuisine as well as Aegean and Mediterranean dishes in the restaurants that are concentrated around the Uzun Çarşı, which forms the core of Kaş.

Geography flowing to the sea; KALKAN

Kalkan is located in an extremely rich region due to its location. In addition to the natural beauties offered by the sea and the mountains, the magnificent cities of the ancient world, which are man-made, are also very close to Kalkan.

Thanks to its settlement flowing towards the sea, every point of Kalkan offers a visual feast. The small beach does not require you to look for other places to swim. It is a great advantage to be able to swim all day long on the beach within walking distance from your accommodation and benefit from the restaurants next to it. The shops in its cute bazaar will satisfy the shopping lovers. Reflecting the spirit of Kalkan, these streets flow almost and meet the dark blue of the Mediterranean on the shore.

“Patara is waiting for you…”

If you want to enjoy the sea on a private beach, Patara, which is only 17 kilometers from Kalkan, awaits you. You have the chance to swim anywhere on the golden yellow Patara beach, which stretches uninterrupted for about 18 kilometers, as you wish. In addition, the ancient city ruins in Patara must be visited. The theater of Patara, which is considered to be the birthplace of the god Apollo, is in very good condition, there are many historical ruins standing apart from this. Two important cities of the Lycian Union, Letoon and Xanthos, which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List, are only 25 kilometers away from Kalkan. Due to the foreigners who have settled in the region and the yachts approaching the harbor in recent years, Kalkan has become a gourmet center especially for places to eat. It is said that there are around 150 restaurants and cafes of all sizes in Kalkan. It is possible to find dishes from Turkish and international cuisine in these restaurants. There are such restaurants that there are people who come to these places for dinner, especially from Fethiye and Kaş. For this reason, it is difficult to find a place without reservation, especially for dinner. Kalkan, which is built on a sloping land, naturally consists of small shops on the slopes. Generally, historical Kalkan houses have been turned into shops. Chic boutique hotels attract attention as much as restaurants. Especially, these hotels located on the slopes with Kalkan view look at the endless blue.

History and nature are intertwined; SIDE

Side, whose history goes back thousands of years, was able to preserve its feature of being a small fishing village where Turks from Crete lived until the 70’s.

The magnificent ancient city ruins and its sandy beaches, which are surrounded by dark blue waters, enable Side to maintain its charm. Side ancient theater is the most intact structure among the past. M.S. The theater, dated to the 2nd century, is a typical Roman theater with its carrier systems supported by arches. The audience capacity of approximately 16 thousand is important in terms of reflecting the city’s past glory. M.S. The Byzantine bath built in the 5th century is today the Archeology Museum. The ancient city of Side, built on a peninsula, was surrounded by walls on all four sides. Some parts of the walls are still standing. The road that continues in front of the theater leads to the main entrance of the city. The most special temples of the Pamphylia region were found within the borders of Side. The best examples of these were made in the name of Athena and Apollo. Although there is not much left of both temples built at the far end of the peninsula, you can use your imagination to imagine the magnificent geography where the temples were established 2000 years ago.

While every part of Side allows swimming, the two beaches called Big and Small Beach attract more visitors. Küçük Beach is a place preferred by Side regulars. The restaurants and cafes right next to the beach serve those who come to Küçük Beach. Big Beach, on the other hand, attracts the attention of daily visitors and tourists. You can not only swim in this beach, you can find many entertainment and water activities related to the sea. The Big Beach, which stretches for about 10 kilometers, is also home to large hotels and holiday villages.

The waterfall on the Manavgat Stream is worth seeing, although it is not very large. In addition, the Titreyen Lake, which has small waves throughout the day with the waters brought by the Manavgat Stream and takes its name from these vibrating waves, and the Sorgun-Side area, where the sea meets with large forested areas, must be on your list of things to see.

A resort town from the Seljuk to today; Alanya

Alanya, where you can find many things to have a good time all day, takes on another identity as the weather gets dark. Restaurants and entertainment venues with Mediterranean views offer different options to their guests.

Alanya, which was important enough to be the winter capital of the Seljuk Empire in the past, maintains this importance especially in the field of tourism today. Although it does not seem to be on the agenda as much as its peers in the tourism sector, it has already left many behind, especially in terms of infrastructure. Blue flagged, clean sea and well organized long beaches give people the opportunity to swim all over Alanya. Especially Damlataş Beach is the most famous beach of Alanya with its golden beach and sparkling sea. Cleopatra Beach, another famous beach, is also famous for its legends. According to legend the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra,
During a voyage to the Mediterranean, he stopped by Alanya and entered the sea on this magnificent beach. Based on this legend, the 2-kilometer beach was named after Cleopatra. Entrance to the well organized beach is free. The beach, which has dining and drinking venues every 50 meters, has been designed with visitors in mind. The well-organized beach is very crowded in the summer months, but thanks to the well-used beach, these crowds are not disturbing. Incekum and Ulaş beaches are other important beaches in Alanya. Slowness prevails on these beaches every hour of the day. Thanks to the calmness of the sea during the day and the warm Mediterranean wind in the evening, the slowness can be felt everywhere in the city. Sunset view from the castle Alanya Castle and Red Tower are the must-see places of the city. If you go to the castle especially in the evening, you can watch a magnificent sunset view.

The castle, which has existed since the years when the name of Alanya was Korakesion, was given its final shape by the Seljuks. Red Tower is the symbolic structure of Alanya. The height of this monumental tower built by the Seljuks is 33 meters. Built in 1226, the tower was built to keep the harbor under control. The streets and streets of Alanya are extremely well designed. There are bicycle paths on wide and low pavements where people can walk comfortably.

The excellent craftsmanship of the bronze statue of Heracles, a must-see in Alanya’s modest museum, is not at all unassuming, unlike the museum. In addition, various finds belonging to the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods in Alanya and its surroundings are exhibited in the museum. Apart from swimming during the day and visiting historical places, there are many options in and around Alanya. Damlataş and Dim caves, which offer cool environments even at the highest temperatures, are some of these options. Damlataş Cave, discovered by accident in 1948, is recommended by doctors to asthma patients. Dim cave, which is 12 kilometers from Alanya, is very exciting with its 350 meters length and the variety of stalactites and stalagmites. Dim Stream, another refreshing spot in the region, is famous for its trout restaurants. It would be to your advantage to coincide with your visit at noon. The floor tables on the wooden piers built on the water are waiting for you. Here you can taste delicious trout and swim in the ice-cold waters of Dim Stream to cool off. Alara Han and Alara Castle are the must-see places in the region. The inn and castle built by the Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad I in 1232 are right next to the Alara Stream. Built to ensure the safety of caravans coming to Alara Han, the castle was built on a steep hill. It is very difficult to get to the castle, which looks extremely magnificent and impressive. The restaurants along the Alara Stream allow you to have a pleasant meal and spend time in nature. Alanya, where you can find many things to have a good time all day, takes on another identity as the weather gets dark. Restaurants with a view of the Mediterranean offer many dishes from international cuisine, as well as local dishes. After dinner, life continues in entertainment venues, especially around the marina.

Love at first sight is unlikely for Montevideo. They should be surprised by their architecture, from European cities, from countries in the Far East whose originality affects them, or to themselves like Cuba, “Is another world possible?” Your Montevideo tour will never be like this again. On the contrary, it is very likely that you will not find it very impressive the first time you see it. But then something strange happens, you start meeting people, talking, observing those around you. Then everything will change. They say, “Well, if I love this place for reasons other than stone, soil, museum or building,” they say. These phrases can be quite abstract if you haven’t set foot there yet. So let’s continue with our article on the order, system and Uruguayan people so that what we are talking about makes a little more sense. If you want to travel to another city while in Uruguay, you can also visit our Colonia del Sacramento travel guide, which we have added to our list of the most beautiful cities in the world. So we can praise Uruguay together.

The theme here is different, Montevideo Travel Guide kisses your hands!

When to go to Montevideo

If we look at this problem not only in Montevideo but also in Uruguay, the most important thing we need to know is that it is summer in our hemisphere in winter. Applying this contrast to all other seasons will make it easier to determine when is the right time to travel to Uruguay. Yes, our knowledge still works in primary school. Is it good to use?

Summer in Uruguay: It is very hot in Uruguay in December-January-February. You can even add November and March to this trio. As we visit the city during this period, we can provide accurate information, the temperature reaches 30 degrees during the day and can be unbearable in some places. However, in the afternoon the weather tends to be a little cooler and can last as long as you wear a wool coat. Therefore, we can recommend you to go during the summer months. We remind you that although the city is a little more empty, it is possible that many facilities have been closed since you left for summer vacation. If you’re determined to set foot in Uruguay at the time, head to Punta del Este, known as the “City of Holidays” in South America. When you get angry, “WHERE ARE THESE PEOPLE IN MONTEVIDEO?” You may say. Who is there.

Winter in Uruguay. There are rumors that Uruguay is always warm and sunny. Whoever touched upon the subject should come here and tell us as Master. There is no such thing, folks. In June, July and August, temperatures drop to 10 degrees Celsius, winters rise, summer holidays become HURARs (not a strange word), young Uruguayan people create hurricanes in their closets at the request of their mothers. From what we learned there, although the winters were not rainy and had a lot of daylight, the cold was quite strong due to its geographical location. For this reason, it is useful to choose clothes to wear.

Spring and autumn periods: split periods can be a good idea to visit Montevideo. It is best to bring an umbrella with you as the chance of rain is higher during these periods than in summer and winter periods. We said that the nights are a little cooler in the summer months and the intermediate nights can be cooler.

Montevideo Budget

Remember your friend above spreading the rumor that the weather is always nice in Uruguay? There is also a version available to all South American countries. We’ll find these two and talk like a teacher. Because there is no such situation. In fact, many travelers consider Montevideo an expensive city. We would like to elaborate a little bit on the budget so that you are not surprised.

For clarity, we are giving the currency in US dollars, not the Uruguayan peso.

Water: about 0.80 – $ 1

Main meal in a regular restaurant: $ 9-15 ($ 15 can be considered a giant steak)

Tea / coffee: about $ 2-3

Beer: $ 2-4

Single bus ticket: about $ 1.

Transport in Montevideo Uruguay

Getting to Montevideo

Check whether you’ve noticed, there’s no direct flights from Turkey to Montevideo. Therefore, if you think it will be a very long flight, you have to consider the not so bad docking options. At least get off the plane and go. At this point, you have a few options. If you say I’m not surprised, I know whether you will take a THY flight from the mainland to Buenos Aires and then go from Buenos Aires to Montevideo by sea bus. Having other airlines can take you to Europe and fly direct flights from any city to Montevideo. So, the choice is yours. If you take the water bus in Buenos Aires, the two main companies are Buquebus and Seacat. Some flights go directly to Montevideo, others stop at Colonia del Sacramento, another city in Montevideo, Uruguay. You can decide according to the time and price situation. If you say I have nothing to do with Buenos Aires and you want to go to Montevideo from another city in South America, you can travel to Montevideo with our favorite LAN Airlines.

Transport in Montevideo

Montevideo is a small city. Also, the places you visit and see are mostly close to each other. This allows you to easily explore places of interest on foot from each other. However, of course, there will be times when you will have to use public transport. At this point, it would be more convenient for us if we say that everything is fine in the transportation network and will run late.

Bus: You can go almost anywhere in the city by bus. You don’t need to be very clear about where to buy your tickets, as you can pay the driver when you get on the bus.

Taxi: Although there are taxi rumors in South America such as “don’t go up, all organs will disappear”, Uruguay is safer in this as it is in all matters. It is also convenient for you to use as it is absolutely inexpensive. It may be strange to have a window between a taxi driver and a customer, but we were rare because we were stuck inside. It is an application designed for the safety of the taxi driver and customer. He says it works and we’ll all get used to it.

Uruguay: Accommodation in Montevideo

Actually, you have two options to spend the night in Montevideo. You live in the city center, center or Pocitos area. As I said, this is a small town and places to visit, eat and drink are mainly spread over these two regions. We think it makes sense to be on the side of Pocitos, and there are several reasons for that. The first is the safest area in Montevideo. Yes, Uruguay can be considered the safest place among all other South American cities, but it is still more problematic than Pocitos at night because it is the most suitable area for tourist hunting. Second, restaurants and bars you might like are mostly concentrated in Pocitos. The residents of the center are full of tourists or close after a certain hour because the crowd goes to Pocitos and Rambla. Since transportation in Montevideo is very easy, you can always reach the center of Pocitos.

We stayed at Meritt Montevideo Apart & Suites, which we can call “the best of the bad” because we did not break the house rental tradition and could not find great options in Montevideo. This does not mean that it is the home of our dreams, but it has proven to be very successful in terms of location, transportation and hygiene. In addition to this, both apartments have their own balcony, as well as a beautiful roof terrace and a jacuzzi we suspect is a bit overwhelmed.

Montevideo Attractions

Places worth seeing in Montevideo are not on the permanent list. On the contrary, if you want to get to know the city only from a touristic point of view, you can do a lot in 2 days. Montevideo is my middle name… “You can sign a contract from November to November. If you want to know and love Uruguay, we would definitely go to its people, not to its stones, land, architecture, and museum, and we will always say it. After meeting his people, he doesn’t worry that Montevideo is unfortunately not that impressive. Just because we said that, it is clear that you will not manage to write a guide to Montevideo and a story about what to see in Montevideo.

Plaza Independencia MontevideoPlaza Independencia

In English, Plaza de la Independencia, Plaza de la Independencia, the heart and most touristic area of Montevideo. It can be considered that all tourists who are not very touristy in Montevideo are affected by a mysterious force. The most interesting building in the square is undoubtedly Palacio Salvo. Yes, we’re talking about this tall building (once the tallest building in South America) and excellent architecture. The building was designed as a hotel, but currently consists mainly of offices. The mausoleum in the middle of the square belongs to Artigas. Artigas is known as the national hero, ancestor and founder of Uruguay. His mausoleum was in the middle of the most famous places.

Considering that the square is one of the central points of the city, many of the city’s main major streets naturally lead here. One side leads to Avenida 18 de Julio, which can be considered the main street of the city, and the other to Sarandí, where you will likely fall several times. If you walk down the street in Buenos Aires, you will see Teatro Solís, the oldest and most important theater building in Uruguay.

For breakfast and lunch, you can choose Café Jacinto in Sarandi 349. You can also exchange money at Sarandi points.

When we return to talk about food and drink in Montevideo, don’t forget to visit Estrecho in Sarandi 460. The restaurant only opens between 12:00 and 16:00 and the menu changes every day. There are a lot of people here and there are no decorations on the table, you sit on stools and have a quick snack. Good local environment, you like it.

Constitution Plaza

Another square you will enter while walking from Plaza Independencia towards Sarandí is Plaza de la Constitución. Make no mistake, it’s also called Plaza Matriz. The old people usually sit on benches in the middle of the green area, we will not hide the street musicians who bring joy to the environment and yes we love the homeless Uruguay in the corners. The most striking structure of this square is of course Montevideo Cathedral. If you are interested, you can go inside and take a walk.

Torres Garcia Uruguay

If you are keen on meeting Uruguayan artists like us, you will discover that Torres García is one of the most famous before taking to the street. Since he is a world-famous artist, we had the opportunity to know his other works in other countries beforehand, but we came here with great excitement as we did not have a special museum for him. The museum is not that big. We think it has 7 floors, but only 3 floors are used as exhibition space. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to understand Garcia’s life stories, as there are no audio guides or explanations in English. We think it is worth visiting. In addition to his abstract works, do not miss the episode where he works with portraits of famous thinkers, people and artists who have left their mark on history!

-Address: Sarandi 683 is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The place frequented by names such as Café Bacacay, Eduardo Galeano and José Mujica on Bacacay street in front of the museum. You can talk to the cafe owner without hesitation, tell us which table Galeano is always sitting on, memories of Mujica etc. Told. He is a very sweet and talkative person. Mujica usually visits him once or twice a week and often with his wife. He sat in the corner and buried himself in the newspaper, but especially when he was president, many people came to speak and interview with him and did not send anyone. How do I dislike this Ulan? But. By the way, you might think of a cafe as a cool place when you mention these names, but that’s not the case, it’s a faceless cafe.

Uruguay National Museum of History

If you want to learn about Uruguay’s history like we do, visit the National History Museum. However, you are likely to find many addresses. You will be confused trying to find out who to meet by asking people around you where the museum is. You will find that people are even more confused and you will stand up as a result. To prevent this from happening to you, we did this for you, but we didn’t give up and managed to find out which is the main building, Casa de Rivera! Entrance to the museum is free, but the situation here is even sadder, there is nothing in English in the museum. So they stay and “Who could this brother be?” They argue. If you want to see and speak Spanish, please tell us what happened and what not when you get back.

Montevideo Rambla

Rambla is the name of the Montevideo beach. It actually covers a very large area, it can be said that it surrounds Montevideo, but the part that is particularly appreciated by the public can be regarded as part of Ciudad Vieja, that is, not far from the old town. Here you will find many people who run, slide, go on a matinee, take a walk during the day, and are very active in this area. If you go to Pocitos, you will reach the part of the Rambla where people swim, sunbathe and feast on the beach. If you are interested, here you will find the Montevideo course, where you can climb left and right and take pictures. The Pocitos side of Rambla is also very active at night. Live youth groups, and eating ice cream out of the family together, of course, Turkey will be a dark part of the south, pleasant atmosphere.

We do not recommend you to go to very dark and desolate areas of this place. Because there are so many drunk and homeless siblings here, especially at night. Anyway, the police are usually in the crowd.

Small

Pocitos is known as the “upper part” of Montevideo. It is clear that there is not such a crazy abyss as that of Uruguay, but we cannot say that it does not exist yet because there is an uncontrolled class division everywhere. This is one of the most logical places in terms of accommodation and night time. While the water doesn’t look very attractive, Pocitos is where people swim, sunbathe and play volleyball on the beach. Therefore, it can be said that it is more active, especially in summer. …

Travel to Montevideo While ready to go to Montevideo;

You can visit two museums of contemporary art, Museo Arte Contemporáneo and Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales, where we cannot spare time despite our great interest.
You can stay in Parque Rhodo, one of Montevideo’s largest city parks. We walked like this, it has a beautiful lake, you can rent a boat or something.
You can visit the Palazzo del Parliament, which is impressive with its architecture, and say, “Wow, we didn’t take any security measures while entering here, it’s Halal.” Guided tours are also offered if you are interested.
When you go shopping in Montevideo, you are desperate for the Montevideo Mall and the whole city. While we were there, we visited Forever 21. Because you must be a white girl in your 20s.
We could not attend, we would appreciate it if you leave a comment. Uruguay Municipal Library National Library, Av. 18 years old according to Julio.

Brazilian Coffee: are you coming or going here? Eduardo Galeanos, Mujica is gone, gone, okay? Apart from this part of the work, the environment is beautiful, the food is delicious and there is no sweeter alternative than lunch in the center. Don’t forget to look at the pictures on the wall!

Tandori: Tandori is definitely one of the best options in town, especially for dinner. Don’t worry, you don’t need to eat meat anymore. And a quick note: Book as late as possible to avoid eating at leisure.

Bar 62: Whatever you do at night, whatever you do, Bar 62 is a good choice. The only problem is that there are always lots of people here and most of the waiters pretend to speak English, but actually speak a mixed language. You may have to wait a long time to find a place.

Le Fleur: Good cafe near Porto Market. The hosts are a lovely couple, let’s say they understand you, sit and talk for hours when it gets dark, you know. You can also have an afternoon coffee or beer in the cafeteria.

Being part of the Balkans in Eastern Europe, Bulgaria is a country that has been attacking tourism in recent years with its impressive mountains, beautiful beaches and unspoilt towns in the Western Black Sea. Located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Bulgaria is a country that combines the legacy of the communist era with vibrant modernity and a unique style.

For some reason I liked Bulgaria, where those who left us do not get too warm and talk about good things. My travel to Plovdiv, Sofia, Haskova and Rhodope was enough to love this country. The beautiful and peaceful country of Bulgaria combines stunning landscapes, countryside tranquility, peaceful life and delicious food in its small area. Greener and safer than we expected.

Sofia
Bulgaria Travel Guide
Sofia was established at the foot of the Vitosha Mountain, surrounded by mountains in the vast Sofia Valley, where several small rivers flow. Living with Anatolia for 500 years in the Ottoman period, Sofia has the traces of various civilizations with its 7,000-year history. Today Sofia is a true European capital. A city with a sense of time travel with its centuries-defying churches on busy streets where Byzantine and Ottoman characteristics are synthesized.

Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, is beautiful where you can feel the reflection of the country’s rich past. The city is surrounded by tall buildings that require special care. Called the great monuments and public housing, these are symbols of Soviet rule. In the city center, near Serdica Castle, the iconic orthodox domes shine against the snowy peaks of Vitosha Mountain and richly decorated with gold leaf. George’s Roman-Byzantine Church and Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. important religious buildings.

Saw. Holy century. Visit Hagia Sophia, an ancient bazaar, and the characteristic yellow stone road to King Savior Boulevard, the ruins of Largo de Stalin and the Roman settlement of Serdica.
